Dolores Ann Ritzen

Dolores was born and raised in Houston, Texas where she spent most of her life until moving to Sugar Land upon her husband’s retirement. She was happy to teach at The School for Little Children at First United Methodist Church in Sugar Land where she had many friends.

Dolores is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Horst R. Ritzen. She is survived by her daughter, Karla Ritzen of Sugar Land, daughter and son in law, Tina and Mike Gibson of Sugar Land, grandson, Bryce Ritzen of Sugar Land, granddaughter and husband, Amanda and Jonathan Drake of Rosenberg and granddaughter, Colleen Gibson and husband, Nick Patane of New York. Dolores is also survived by four great grandchildren, Emilee Ritzen, Holden Ritzen, Sully Drake and Harrison Drake.

In her final 6 years, she was cared for lovingly by the staff of Auberge Memory Care at Sugar Land.

Viewing will be Wednesday, March 2nd at The Settegast-Kopf Co. of Sugar Creek-15015 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Graveside service will be on Thursday, March 3rd at The Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery-6900 Lawndale in Houston at 10:00 a.m.
