Thomas was born on July 20, 1935 to the late Maurice and Mary (Curran) Keane in Manhattan. He worked briefly for the Department of Corrections, before embarking on a twenty-five (25) year career in the New York City Fire Department attaining the rank of Lieutenant. Following his retirement he worked for the United Parcel Service, and Chestnut Ridge Transportation. He was a devout Roman Catholic who grew up a Brooklyn Dodger and New York Giant Football Fan. He is also survived by his eight (8) cherished grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
