Russell "RUSTY" Everson

Russell ("Rusty") Everson, age 77, of Tallman, New York passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Rusty was born in Suffern, NY on August 27, 1946. He graduated from Pace University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. He graduated from Stevens institute of Technology with a Master of Art in Mathematics.

Russell found the love of his life, Lynne Requa and were married on September 9, 1989.

He worked at Requa Lake in Monsey as a swim Club Manager. Rusty enjoyed landscaping and was an expert woodmen. He was a member of SonLife Broadcasting Network, and Mended Hearts as well as Bible Pathway.

Rusty is survived by his best friend and loving wife Lynne, Sister, Viola Burkhard, nephews Rob, Michael, and Mark and Brother-in-law Robert Requa.

Rusty was predeceased by his brother-in-law Carl Burkhead.

Rusty was a very spiritual man and loved God with all his heart, soul, and strength. He took pride in reading the entire Bible yearly. Rusty was kind and generous. Everyone that knew him loved him.

Rusty had suffered for a long time with Parkinsons and never complained once. He was an Angel of God.

A visitation for Russell will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:30 AM, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. An interment to follow will occur Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Brick Church Cemetery, 221 Brick Church Rd., New Hempstead, NY 10977.
