She was born in the Bronx, New York on November 17, 1931 and married the late Donald McCormick on September 12, 1953. He passed away in 1995. Together they had eight children, Maribeth McCormick, Joanne Curley (Kevin), Barbara Post (Wayne), Kenneth McCormick (Lucille), Kevin McCormick (Linda), Anne Marie Gatti (Michael), Thomas McCormick (Noel) and Brian McCormick (Erin). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her life was dedicated to her faith, her family and her friends. As the matriarch of the family, she will be greatly missed by all and her friends have lost a loyal and supportive friend.
She attended the Katherine Gibbs School and was an Executive Assistant with IBM before becoming a great full-time mom. After her children had grown, she returned to work at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY supporting the Rectory. She subsequently volunteered significant time with the Sacred Heart Ladies Guild and the Montebello Club. She loved to get together with her friends, play cards, board games or travel as a group. She is known for her wit, propensity to win at bingo and love of game shows where she continuously showed her great intellect right up to the day of her passing. Her greatest joy was watching her children grow and start extended families of their own. She always celebrated their successes and was always there to support their endeavors. All were made better by knowing her.
