With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jackson "Skye" Dabrush-Nuesch, age 17, on June 28, 2024. Born on June 22, 2007, Jackson was a cherished son, nephew, cousin, and friend who touched the lives of everyone he met with his kindness, compassion, and unwavering sense of justice.
A dedicated student at Rockland BOCES P-Tech, Jackson Skye was known for his academic excellence, consistently achieving straight A's. His generosity matched his intellect, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to classmates in need. He was a fierce advocate for those who could not speak for themselves, embodying the spirit of empathy and support.
Jackson, or Skye as affectionately known by his friends, had a vibrant personality and a wide array of interests. He loved spending time with his friends, gaming on his computer, and immersing himself in the world of anime. Family gatherings often found him playing disc golf with his cousins, aunt & uncle, moments filled with laughter and fun. He had a particular fondness for chocolate milkshakes from Ernie's and a never-ending love for sushi.
Skye's affection extended to his beloved pets, including three cherished cats and a lizard among other reptiles, fish, and hamsters throughout his life. His bond with his pets was a testament to his gentle and caring nature, finding comfort and companionship in their presence. His cats, in particular, held a special place in his heart, providing comfort and warmth through their constant companionship.
Skye's life, though tragically short, was filled with love, laughter, and a passion for people and pets. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and an indomitable spirit that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
