Harold was born on October 16, 1932 to the late Heinrich and Herta (Martens) Heinz in Bremen, Germany. Harold grew up during World War II. Harold was an apprentice to a cabinet maker and became a very talented master craftsman. He met the love of his life, Anneliese (nee Schwiering) and they started their married lives together in America. Harold’s ship landed in Hoboken, where they rented an apartment and Harold found a job in Brooklyn and became a member of the Carpenters Union. Harold and Anneliese left Hoboken in 1961 and moved to Hasbrouck Heights, into their first home.
Harold used his talents to remodel their house, making it a true home for many decades. Harold and two partners decided to start their own business in Brooklyn and formed Global Exhibition Services.
Harold was active in the Amt Ostener Club, where he served a term as President. Harold was known and loved by everyone he met. He was a gentleman, very intelligent, kind, thoughtful, and always supported his children. Harold never judged and never said a bad word about anyone. He will be missed and honored.
Harold is survived by his loving children, Linda Trapp (James), Ronald Heinz (Traci); his loving grandchildren, Meredith Trapp Thomas (Dafydd), Emilee Heinz, and Danielle Heinz, and by three great grandchildren, Natalie, Gwyneth, and Lorelei.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anneliese A. Heinz on September 5, 2024 and by his grandson, Eric J. Trapp.
