Frank Iozzo of Suffern, NY passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 86. Frank was born to Francesco and Mildred Iozzo on July 29, 1930 in Tuckahoe, NY. Frank served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the Fred Eller American Legion Post of Monsey and the Sons of Italy Vincent Linguanti Lodge for over 45 years. Frank retired from Orange & Rockland and was a state Inspector for the Department of Public works.
He will be remembered for the unconditional love he showed to his family. Frank will also be remembered as a jokester, always teasing and making people laugh.
Frank is survived by his loving children Donna Destefano (Richard), Patricia Iozzo (Jason), and Michael Iozzo, and by grandchildren Kyle, Michael, Nicholas, Alexa, and step grand-daughter Lauren. Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife Betty (Bettina) Iozzo and his sisters Angelina, Virginia, and Rita.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey at 10AM. Burial to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
