Carol Frazier Beatty Kemp, 82, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 In Nanuet, NY. Carol was born May 29, 1934 in Wayne, PA to Jean and William Beatty, continuing to live in the Philadelphia suburbs through high school and her college years.
Carol attended Millersville University in Pennsylvania until her marriage to Donald Shepherd Kemp in 1953. A long-time resident of both Kingston, PA and New City, NY, she was busy rearing four children and working as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Clarkstown school system.
Carol never knew a stranger. Her hallmark personality trait was her welcoming nature to family and friends, and any newcomers in her acquaintance immediately fell into the latter category. She cherished her family history and was proud to be a member of both the Daughters of the American Revolution and the General Society of Mayflower Descendants. She was a lifelong proponent of the religious philosophy of the “I AM” Activity of the Saint Germain Foundation.
Carol is survived by her sons, Donald William Kemp and Robert Allen Kemp, and her daughters, Joanne Kemp Jones and Jennifer Kemp Rizzo. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as her two sisters, Ann Beatty Tillinghast and Joan Alden Beatty.
In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate donations in honor of Carol to the “I AM” Temple of Chicago, 176 W. Washington St. Chicago, IL 60602.
