Bob served in the United States Navy during World War II and moved to Boston upon his honorable discharge in 1946. He worked for the Boston Herald and Boston Globe for many years, as a proof‐reader, and in the composing room. Bob resided in Waltham with his wife, Anne, until building their family’s home in Sudbury in 1955.
In 1962, Bob started his own label printing company, Colormark, Inc., out of his home in Sudbury. He owned and operated the company until his retirement at which time his sons, BobJr. and Jack continued operations of the thriving business, currently located in Nashua, NH.
Bob loved his community. He was very active in the Sudbury Little League, serving as Purchasing Agent, and as a Manager for several teams. He was a founding member and communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Parish; and a long‐time member of the Knights of Columbus. Bob was very artistically talented. As a young boy, he sang with his parish’s boys’ choir; and as he grew, his boy soprano voice blossomed into a beautiful Irish tenor. He was also a gifted artist and spent many hours at his easel. He also enjoyed playing the harmonica - family birthday celebrations were always special with harmonica accompaniment. He was very fond of Irish music, but he especially loved spending time with his family.
