Norman G. Tolson

A distinguished US Marine Force Reconnaissance Veteran, who courageously served two tours during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he continued to lead by example as the Commander of the VFW in Natick, MA. Beyond his dedication to his country, Norman was an accomplished jewelry designer, who graduated with a degree in Horology from North Bennet Industrial School in 1978. He channeled his passion and talent into mastering the craft over many years. His legacy lives on through his remarkable journey as a decorated Marine and his artistic contributions to the world of jewelry design. He retired from Keane Fire and Safety where he leaves behind friends for a lifetime.

Norman exemplified the core values of integrity and endurance. His spirituality and strong belief in the Lord defined the essence of his being.

In his final years, he joined the home of his sister, Ermine (Tina) Parks and her family, William, Jacqueline and Raquel. Norman remained a soldier of God, led by faith. His laughter filled his home with smiles and warmth. His strength filled our hearts with hope and inspiration. Norman was a perfect gentleman with a heart of pure gold. He loved people, and people loved him back. His nature was respectful, warm, and helpful wherever he went.

He joins his late twin brother, Joseph D. Tolson, and his other late siblings, Calvin Tolson, Timothy Tolson, Bonita Davis, and Gregory Tolson.

He is survived by his siblings, Cynthia Tolson of South Carolina, Ermine Parks of Framingham, MA, Dominic Tolson of Sherborn, MA, JoAnn Crossman of Webster, MA, Daniel Tolson of South Carolina, Deborah Johnson of Worcester, MA, and Norman Peterson of Florida. He also leaves behind host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2023 at 10:30am at Greater Framingham Community Church. Interment will follow immediately at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
