John George Chambers (Johnny boy), of Milford, MA, formerly of Sudbury, passed away on June 17, 2024 at the age of 80. Born in Framingham, MA on September 16, 1943 to Joseph Melvin and Yolanda Chambers (Mercury).
John and his predeceased wife, Maria, owned and operated the Mountain View farm stand in Sudbury from 1977 to 1982. Sometime after the passing of his wife, John and his brother Jimmy began their business wholesaling produce to local Restaurants. J.C.produce was in business from 1986 until John retired from it around 2016.
He was passionate about gardening to his end as can be seen by the multiple fruit trees recently planted around his home. From garden to table, John loved his food. He was accomplished at cooking and very particular about the pasta sauce he always made. He was also a very family oriented man and cared for several family members throughout his later years. John’s passion for gambling led to him developing several close friends down at Foxwoods casino were he would spend Saturdays playing Poker with them all.
In addition to his parents and wife Maria Ann Chambers (Cardwell), he is preceded in death by his oldest son John George Chambers Jr.
John is survived by his beloved partner of 38 years Roberta Caira, his two children Janis Earls and her husband Ron of Marlborough, MA, and Joseph Chambers of Milford, MA. His twin brother and best friend James (Jimmy) Chambers of Marlborough MA. He also leaves behind Roberta’s daughter Robin Bennett and her husband Peter of Tolland CT.
He is also survived by his grand children Christopher and Jessica Earls, Kayla Griffin and her husband Cam, Brock and Cole Bennett and great grand child Blake Griffin. His nephew’s James Jr. and Peter Chambers, and his niece Debi Woodard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
