Jo Ann Cruz

Born on June 8, 1973, Jo Ann was raised in Quezon City, Philippines and graduated from the School of the Holy Spirit High School with the class of 1990. She earned her BS Degree in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines in 1994. She worked in the actuarial and financial services industries in the Philippines and the United States. She settled down with her husband in the United States in 2001, and had lived in Sudbury since 2009.

Jo Ann was the beloved wife of Carlo and devoted mother of Isabella. Jo Ann is survived by her parents Liberato and Zorahayda Cortes; sisters Liza Marquez, Aileen Cabungcal and Emily Decapia; brothers-in-law Vicente Marquez, Charlie Cabungcal and Neil Decapia; nephew Cyrus Cabungcal and nieces Alyssa Marquez, Ava Marquez, Anja Decapia and Marika Decapia.

The wake and visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 8, 2016, 5-9 p.m., at Duckett Funeral Home of J. S. Waterman, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Sudbury, MA. For those who so desire, in lieu of flowers, it was Jo Ann's fondest wish that memorial donations be made to her beloved daughter's education fund.
