Dave its been a year since you left our family...yes I say family because The Walkers (my sisters kids) considered you their honorary brother and best friend for life of my nephew. 
Im so sorry that we didn't recognize your unimaginable grief at the loss of your precious daughter. We could have supported you and helped you thru it....unfortunately that didn't happen and you chose to be with her.  We love you Dave , then and now ! Rest in Peace sweet man!

I worked with David at Hollister for a couple of years and he was a mechanic that had a smile and knew his job very well.  If he could not fixed the machine, he would not leave until it was fixed, he was such a joker and always made the work place a fun place to work. He talked bout his family especially his daughter , and I know her being sick was a hard pill to accept, because this is one time, he could not fix it. Deepest sympathy to his family,  now he has no more pain or sorrow.

Dave & I worked together 3rd shift Maintenance at Hollister. Taught me a lot on electrical side of maintenance always had my back. We were close … both of us left Hollister about same time….. we try keep in touch 1-2 year.

I hadn't been long starting my job at UPS and was told a guy was at the customer counter to pick up a pkg, but the pkg wasn't there yet. Whn I went over to let them knw what was going on- I was pleasantly surprised to see Dave standing there. He was just as surprised to see me coming to assist him, asking what in the world was I doing in there & I said well what in the world are you doing in here? He was there trying to get a pkg that he had missed delivery on that day that was for Megan. I told him I wasn't sure of exactly whn it wld be back in- to which he replied, it doesn't matter what time,  it's for Megan so I'll wait, come back or whatever I gotta do! Anything for my kid he said.  The love he had for her was overwhelming & he was proud of it. 
I was outside getting pkgs out of the dropbox whn he left (with my back to traffic) and he yelled out "Good seein' ya cuz, don't work too hard" and cracked up laughing whn he realized he scared the crap outta me. He loved being a practical joker & just simply laughing. 
It's heart breaking to knw the sadness he endured before giving up. 
We were cousins and didn't see each other often, but whn we did, we were always laughing or being silly. He will never be forgotten. 


Sonia and family I send my deepest condolences.  Dave was a kind and helpful neighbor.    He also looked checked on me when the pandemic hit.   He often had lawn mower problems and would borrow my John Deere.    He Joked that I should wait to mow Mom and Dad's lawn because if I mowed he would have to also.  I remember one night my granddaughters were visiting and wanted to roast marshmallows with Megan.   I was going to use the grill but Dave had bigger ideas.   He built an awesome bonfire and the girls roasted marshmallows until they were so full they couldn't eat one more.      In the months before Mom and Dad passed he would help when he saw me trying to get them in the car.   It was a comfort having Dave as a neighbor and friend.   

So sad to hear about Dave.  We worked together at the Staunton Mall theater many years ago and he was a sweet friend.  Makes my heart hurt knowing the pain he was going through. Much love to the remainder of his family and Matt Walker and family.  

Rest in peace dave you will always be an official walker family member! There is no more pain and suffering
