Vince grew up in a community called Venice Park, NJ. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and served as an altar boy. He attended St. Nicholas Grade School and Holy Spirit High School. He played football on the school team and graduated with the class of 1947. During summer breaks he was a lifeguard at Atlantic City Beaches. A few years later he went to work for Atlantic Electric Company. He took a leave of absence from work and joined the Air Force in 1950, and was stationed at Tyndall Air Base near Panama City, FL., where he met his future wife, Katie. They dated for four years before getting married and two weeks after the wedding, Vince was sent to South Korea for 15 months. After being discharged from the Air Force, he returned to work with the electric company, and they moved to Atlantic City, NJ. Vince loved all sports. He played football, ice skating, ice hockey, bowling, snow skiing. He was a member of the Atlantic Ski Gulls Club. He coached little league football in 1970. He was president of Brigantine Lions Club and in the same year was commander of Brigantine Coast Guard Auxiliary. He retired from Atlantic City Electric Company in 1989 after 34 years. They moved to Hobe Sound, FL and in 1995 they moved to the Lost Lake Community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Katie, sister, Katherine Walls, 3 nephews, Mickie, Vincent (Barbara), Chris (Lorie), niece Patricia (Ralph) and many great nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Aycock Funeral Home Young & Prill Chapel, 6801 SE Federal Highway, Stuart, FL 34997. Inurnment will take place on Sunday, at 1:00 pm March 3, 2019 at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, 1501 S Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL 34994.
