Robert Denny Waller "Bob" went to be with our Lord on Easter Morning. Bob grew up in Nashville, Tennessee with his mother and sister. On scholarships, he attended Montgomery Belle Academy and Vanderbilt University.
Bob was a Korean War veteran serving the Navy in Argentia Newfoundland. Upon graduating from Vanderbilt, he was hired by Owens Illinois and moved to Miami Florida. It was in South Florida where he met his wife Mary Gettemuller and her two sons Corey and Danny. In 1965, he welcomed his third son, Bobby, born at Baptist Hospital.
Bob's career took him to Greenwich Connecticut, Franklin Lakes New Jersey and San Francisco California. In 1995 Bob and Mary moved to Willoughby Golf Club in Stuart Florida. A long time golfer, tennis player, skiier and great dancer, Bob enjoyed time with friends and family. For years they enjoyed a ski house in Chimney Hill Vermont and Haystack Mountain. Bob had a personal relationship with Jesus and we look forward to the day when we will see him again.
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Waller and mother Lura Jernigan.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary Waller, sons and wives Corey & Nancy, Dan & Sherry and Bob & Carol, 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren and sister Dottie Gear.
A memorial service will be held at Covenant Baptist Church 2880 SE Aster Lane, Stuart, Florida on Thursday April 20th at 11am followed by a reception at Willoughby Golf Club.
