Born in East Rochester, New Hampshire, Mrs. Hurd had previously lived in Laconia, New Hampshire before relocating to the Treasure Coast area.
She was a fancy stitcher in the shoe business.
Mrs. Hurd was of the Protestant faith.
She is lovingly survived by daughter, Barbara Tompson (Calvin) of Springhill, Florida; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ernest Hurd.
A memorial service will be held in the Hoke Hall in Ocean Breeze Park on Friday, September 2, 2011, at 3:00 PM.
