1944 - 2023
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Broadbent, surrounded by the love of his family in the Pilgrims Hospice in Edmonton on September 15, 2023 at the age of 78 years.
Raymond will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who was always there to lend a helping hand, no matter how big or small the project may be. He was the hardest worker we knew and he will be remembered for his resourcefulness and dedication to his family, friends and his work.
Raymond will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Darleen; his daughter Stacey Albrecht (Michael); his son Garett Broadbent (Alesha); his grandchildren: Owen & Rocky Albrecht and Kaden, Rilen, & Maren Broadbent; his sisters: Marilyn, Lynda (Ted), and Beverly (Omer); his brothers Everett (Glenys) & Garry (Evelyn). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Iona (Ed); brothers-in-law Gordon (Val) & Greg as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents Eddie & Hazel; father and mother-in-law Leslie & Louise; brother-in-law Thomas; niece Trish and nephews Cameron & David.
A Memorial Service will be held for Raymond at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 – 44 Avenue Stony Plain, AB. If you are unable to attend, please join via Livestream. To do so please click on the Join Livestream in the services section 5 minutes prior to service time. A private family Committal Service will be held the next day.
