Phyllis Getzinger

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Phyllis Getzinger share the news of her passing, surrounded by family, at the age of 80 years. We take solace knowing that she is in a much better place.

Phyllis will be remembered for her love of animals – especially her horses. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with friends and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren Amanda, Michael and Danielle.

Survived by her loving husband of 60 years Vic; daughters Sandy (Craig), and Vicky (Brad); grandchildren Amanda (Robin), Michael (Marie), and Danielle (Mike). Also left behind are her two sisters Mary, and Margaret (Dave), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Marjorie; her sister Carol and brothers-in-law Ken Lienau and Ken Wood; her sister-in-law Marlene and brother-in-law Luigi; her niece Angela and great nephews Desmond and Josh.

A funeral service will be held Monday July 22, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5021 52 Ave, Stony Plain, AB. The committal service will take place at St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery following the funeral service.
