August 26, 1921 – March 27, 2011
Lydia passed away peacefully on March 27, after a three month battle from the effects of a heart attack.
She leaves to mourn her son Gerry (Joyce); three grandchildren: Tim Getzinger (Trish) of Stony Plain, Mike Getzinger of Red Earth, Angie Garred (Lorne) of Edmonton; two great-grandchildren: Tasia and Trysta of Stony Plain and one sister Elizabeth Schienbein of Stony Plain as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Gus in August 2004; her parents Andrew and Margaretha; her brothers: Charlie and Fred and her sisters: Emma, Mary and Theresa.
A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5021-52 Avenue, Stony Plain on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend William Ney and Reverend Rod Buck officiating.
Interment to follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery.
