Deepest condolences, I first met Larry in 1997 and worked with him until he retired. Will always remember the stories of his diving and the early years in Bramalea.  Larry was a good man, rest in peace my friend.

Larry Gay Passes away December 24, 2022

On behalf of of all the active and retired members of Ford Unifor Local 584 I'd like to extend our sincerest condolences to Tina and the entire Gay family. 

Larry worked many years at Ford Bramalea before transferring to Edmonton. Larry's smile and humour was a gift he had and those are the good memories that we still remember and cherish. 

Larry's sudden passing came as a big shock to everyone. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Peg and I express our sincerest condolences to Tina, Scott, Brad, Rod and all the family. Watched the live feed of Larry's funeral this afternoon. Had the pleasure of talking hours on the phone with Larry in the past couple of years. Had some good laughs over past memories. Looking at some of the pics posted brought back even more. Had hours of old 8 mm films of gramps and my dad's transferred to USB. Again good times. As gramps always said " See you in the 
movies". Will always be remembered, never forgotten.

as we both were members with Northern Telecom Scuba club. I was a rookie diver and Larry was always there to help and support newbies. He did it with experience and humor! I can't forget that. RIP brother.

I first met Larry on the ‘77 May 24 when he was the dive master for the Mississauga SCUBA Club weekend to Lake Muskoka to dive the Waome. I also met my wife that weekend and Larry and I eventually became brothers-in-law. Larry’s fun loving and adventurous ways often rubbed off and many good times were had. Larry showed that life is to be lived to the fullest. May you enjoy the best of times on the other side!

I met Larry and Sandy in grade 8 in 1968.  We have shared so many wonderful times from weddings, babies, break ups, cabin cruising in Bobcageon, babysitting Scott, camping, funerals, high school reunions, the list goes on.  Looks like he connected with a lot of our old Bramalea buddies before he left us.  When he called we laughed and reminisced for about an hour and it did our hearts good.  I'm so grateful to have had you as a friend Larry.  Condolences to his family.

Terry and I were shocked and sad to learn of Larry's passing. We are thinking of Larry's family and send our condolences to everyone.  Larry left us with fond and fun memories. We made a charitable donation in memory of Larry. Love to all.

Larry and I chatted not so long ago. We fondly reminisced about our youthful years - time spent scuba diving, playing hockey and football, and growing up in Bramalea. We laughed a lot during the conversation and when it concluded my spirits were lifted. There was and will always be a part of Larry with me.  I am grateful for the time we spent together and the memories we shared. I will remember the laughter.

I was very sadden when I heard the news of Larry`s passing. He was one of the funniest guys we all knew growing up in Bramalea as kids .
We reunited this pass year vis phone calls and and video chats about our youth and catching up on past years. His smile and his humor would make my day during our video chats. My sincere condolences go out to Tina and all of his family.

To the entire family I was saddened by the news of Larry’s passing and want you to know what a great person and friend he was-many years together at ford,hockey tournaments-boating-lots of great conversations -so from this bramalea boy to another “I will miss you man”

So saddened to hear of Larry’s passing. Larry was a good friend back in my teens. He and I would hop into his Ford van and head off for a weekend with his Zodiac and a bunch of dive gear on epic adventures. He had the funniest little song thing he did, no words but a bunch of, “re-ee-ee -ee- ee……. to a funny little melody. We were always laughing.

After we moved to Winnipeg we travelled back to Ontario and were having a vacation at  a family cottage (Barb and Bobs).  I was very young at the time.  The morning we were leaving to go back home my Uncle Larry came out on the deck and saw that I was sad.  I told him  I was sad to leave the family and go back to Winnipeg.  Uncle Larry came over to me and said “but thats that’s why when we see it’s more special than most.”

We may not have been close over the past few years because…well life I suppose…but he was a man that made me laugh, and made me feel loved.  He was unique. He was loyal. He was loved.

Rest In Peace Uncle Larry…say hi to Uncle Denis and Gramps.

Sincere heartfelt condolences to Larry’s family.  I have fond memories of early teenage years exploring abandoned farm houses and exploring     A special time.    

I first met Larry, Brad and Dennis when we moved to Bramalea in 1964. They lived across the street from us on Beechwood Cres. I remember Larry for his kind, fun loving character and his white wool hat and Hawks jacket that he wore everywhere. Both our families lived on Beechwood for over 40 years and our parents were good neighbors and friends. I haven’t spoken with Larry in years and was saddened to hear of his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

I am going to miss my chats with Larry every month  after Tina got home. We had shared a lot of memories and great times as cousins together and always had something to remember.     My heart is broken

My heart goes out to Tina and his family. To lose a loved one at this time of year must  make his passing even more difficult if that is possible. I was supposed to meet up with him this year at a reunion. It will have to wait. He was one of the funniest cat's I knew. Rest in peace Larry.
