It is with sadness that we announce the passing of John Bakker of Stony Plain, Alberta on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at the age of 104.
Uncle John was a gracious man who appreciated what he had and those who were in his life. He was a loving husband, brother and uncle who inspired those who knew him with his love of travel, reading, music and his storytelling.
John will be greatly missed by his brother, Peter; his nieces and nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Irene and his brothers, Clarence and Norman.
We thank the staff at St. Albert Youville Home, Stony Plain Forest Ridge and Whispering Waters and Tracy and her team at Westview Community Care for their loving care over the years.
A private family service will take place on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., with live-streaming available through www.parklandfuneralservices.com .
