Carl Peter Baron

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Carl Peter Baron announces Carl’s passing on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the Westview Hospital in Stony Plain at the age of 91 years. Carl was born and lived his entire life in the Stony Plain area, as a farmer, bus driver and Councillor of Parkland County.

Carl will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rose; his daughters Jacqueline Hunsley (Doug), Joy Elbery (Ken) and Shelly Barron (Dave); his daughter-in-law Debbie Baron; his ten grandchildren: Scott Hunsley (Amanda), Kendra Hunsley, Marla Gillam (Chad), Melisa Randolph (Tyler), Angie Barron (Ryan), Christopher Barron (Angella), Kimberly Barron (Wes), Lisa Berry (Daryn), Ryan Baron (Michelle) and Jennifer Hammell (Jake); twelve great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his sister: Emma Ulmer, his sister-in-law: Val Schoepp, ten stepchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Carl was predeceased by our loving mother; his first wife, Norma in 1992, his second wife Evelyn in 2012 and his son Grant of Grande Prairie in 2012. He was also predeceased by his sisters Tillie, Mary and Theresa.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church (5021 52 Avenue), Stony Plain on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cemetery (79 Avenue), Stony Plain.
