Richard was born March 6, 1935, in San Francisco, California to Harry and Allegra (Bettega) Brewer. Richard was raised in Visitacion Valley and had many great friendships and memories. He proudly attended Portola Junior High School and Balboa High School where he excelled as a student-athlete playing baseball and football. Richard joined the ROTC and the high school band where he played the tuba and the accordion. Richard's family owned and operated the 5 Mile House in Visitacion Valley where they entertained many social events with San Francisco's finest.

Richard and Carole enjoyed going to the San Francisco 49er games at home and on the road in their glory days along with taking cruises all around the world with all of their great friends.
Richard was honored to be inducted into the Balboa High School Sports Hall of Fame as well as the Daly City Sports Hall of Fame. Richard lived life to the fullest and will surely be missed by friends and family.
Rest in peace Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa, and Uncle.
