Natividad Zita Acosta Caccam, 74, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Stockton, CA on October 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in the Philippines, she lived most of her life in Stockton, California.
The mother of three children, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Zita worked tirelessly, as a single mother, to support her family.
Zita is survived by her sisters Remedios Ganibe and Jovita Era, brothers Amado Acosta and Danilo Acosta, two daughters: Tess Tapia (Jeff) and Kristine Cermack (Dan); son: Junior Caccam (Agnes); nine cherished grandchildren: Tia Berry (Mark), Jessika Tapia, Jeffrey Tapia, James Cermack, Thomas Cermack, Eric Bradley, Charlotte Caccam, Ethan Cermack, and Kaitlynn Caccam; and three precious great-grandchildren: Natalie Berry, Blake Berry, and Landon Berry. Zita was predeceased by her brother Oscar Acosta and her sister Melita Tabora.
Zita was blessed with a deep abiding Christian faith, a warm smile, a compassionate nature and a selfless and generous heart. Zita was a credit to her profession, a role model for others, a tireless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and a true and generous friend.
She will be missed by all who knew her.
Floral arrangements are welcomed and can be delivered to DeYoung Shoreline Chapel. A visitation will be held at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel, 7676 Shoreline Dr, Stockton, California on Monday October 14th, 2024, from 3pm until 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 15th, 2024, at 11am, also at DeYoung Shoreline Chapel. Interment will follow at San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
