Michael M. Murray age 79, of Valley Springs passed away on August 5, 2012. Michael was a Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion and VFW. He was a retired Federal Firefighter. Michael was a kind and compassionate soul with a bit of a prankster in him. Everyone who met him loved him and his special little smile. Mike loved animals, all animals and rescued many over the year’s including cats, dogs and even a great horned owl. His special loves were his three cats Belle, Spider and Blaze. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Lottie Murray. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Leona; son Michael Murray Jr.; daughters Heather Martinez and Michaelene Ferrell; sister Mauviene Ward; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 4:00–8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 AM. All services will be held at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary 809 N. California St. in Stockton. Remembrances may be made in Michael’s name to the Humane Society.
