A memorial in his honor will be held on Thursday, January 17th from 6-7pm at the Horis A. Ward Funeral Home at 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA.
David was born in Atlanta, GA to Hazel and Roy Etheridge on February 7th 1952. He went to Fulton High School and graduated in 1970. He married Jennie Chandler on June 2nd 1973 in Atlanta, GA. He worked as a mechanic for Vanguard Trucks of Atlanta for the past 10 years. He was an avid Harley enthusiast and boasted not one, but two beautiful Harley Davidson motorcycles. In addition to loving beautiful motorcycles he loved cars and has several awards from the Atlanta PD for never wearing a seatbelt. He also was awarded a master’s degree in Demolitions Expertise in 1973 as well as receiving an honorary P.I.M.A. award for an unprecedented 39 years in a row.
David is preceded in death by Big Mama Etheridge, Hazel Etheridge, and Roy Etheridge
David is survived by his wife, Jennie of Rex: son, Brian (Sarah) of Greenville: Brothers, Pat of Hampton and Mark (Linda) of Monticello: Sister, Carla (Larry) Peek of Sharpsburg: Nieces, Pam and her daughter Brittney of Hampton, Meagen and Michelle Peek of Sharpsburg, and Kristie (Nikolai) Enne of Fayetteville: Nephews, Justin Etheridge of Monticello and Josh Chandler of Fayetteville: Mother-in-law, Jacqueline Chandler of McDonough: Sister-in-law, Shirley Etheridge of Rex: Brother-in-law, Jim (Judy) Chandler of Fayetteville.
