Over the past several years, I had been looking for Ray on the internet, but, sadly, did not find him until now.  My sincere sympathy to his family.  I served with Ray as an Embassy Marine in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1964.  Ray was an outstanding Marine and an exceptional man.  He was respected and admired by everyone he met.  I have uploaded a short video of me and Ray that was taken in font of the chancery building after the U.S. Ambassador, Robert Strong, awarded us our good conduct medals.  May Ray rest in peace and God comfort his family.

RAY WAS A GREAT MAN!! I LOVED TO  GO SEE HIM .HE HAD SO MANY BEAUTIFUL ROCKS AN ARROW HEADS . SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COLLECTIONS  AN HE KNEW SO MUCH ABOUT EACH ONE. HE WOULD ALWAYS GIVE ME VERY INTERESTING LOOKING ROCKS. ONE THAT LOOKED LIKE A ROSE IN BLOOM. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND THAT I COULD CALL AN TELL HIM OF MY TROUBLES AN HE WOULD LISTEN AN HELP ME WITH GREAT ADVISE. HE LOVED HIS BIRDS.HE WAS A GREAT FRIEND AN I WILL MISS HIM EVEN MORE! Ray has been a part of my life for 48 years, ever since I married his youngest brother.  But, he was much more that just a brother-in-law.  I worked for Ray many times through the years as his secretary.  Ray served as a pastor and Justice of the Peace.  He also had many businesses including Hill Roofing Company.  I worked for Ray until he sold Hill Roofing Company and retired.  At least he thought he retired.  God called Ray to be a missionary, reaching those that were imprisoned in our society with the Word of God and Bible studies.  Ray asked me to volunteer in this ministry.  I began working once a week; but, as the ministry grew I increased my hours.  I am so grateful that Ray let me share in the blessings from this ministry.  Ray had such a passion for this ministry and also for distributing lunches to the homeless.  He passed out 100-200 lunches each week to the homeless and witnessed for his Lord and Savior.  Well done, good and faithful servant.

I am so sorry for the loss of Raymond. He was a very nice man to me and many others. He will be missed by a lot of people that he came across in his life. He is a hero for serving in the U.S. Army to protect this Nation. God Bless him and his family during this hard time.
