Matthew Clark Parker

Matthew was born on November 7, 1949 in Eastman, Georgia to the late Ann and Chester Parker, Jr. He attended Dodge County High School and graduated class of 1968. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Following his military service, he began a career as an auto parts salesperson and remained in that role for more than 30 years. Matthew met and married the love of his life, Mrs. Beaddie Parker, and together they raised a loving family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Matthew is survived by his wife of nearly 31 years, Mrs. Beaddie Parker of Griffin; four children, Brent Parker of Sharpsburg, Kathie Atkinson (George) of Concord, Jeff Kee (Kim) of Fayetteville, and David Kee of Griffin; twelve grandchildren, Brinley, Felicia, Adam, Jessica, Justin, Megan, Bo, Alicia, Jamie, Mandy, Devin, and Brooklyn; two siblings, Chess Parker (Betty) of Fayetteville and Diane Peacock (Clifford) of Eastman; along with a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Matthew on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of life will immediately follow in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal including military honors at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
