

John Henry King, born on March 12, 1940, in Maplesville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Stockbridge, Georgia. He was the beloved son of Vaughn King and Pluma Stough King, who preceded him in death.
John was a proud member of Local Union #85 of the International Association of Sheet Metal Workers, where he dedicated many years of his life to his craft. He had a passion for animals and enjoyed collecting model trains, model cars, and political memorabilia. Restoring classic cars was a favorite pastime that brought him both joy and fulfillment.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Francine King, and his children, Michael Wayne King (wife Gail),and Sheila King Craine. John is also survived by his brother, Bobby King. He took great pride in being a grandfather to Ryan King, Nicole Craine, Derrick Craine, Sara King, and Christa Craine, as well as a great-grandfather to Emery King and Braelynn Craine.
John's family expanded further with step-children Keith Courson (wife Sandra) and Craig Courson (wife Carrie), and he cherished his step-grandchildren Tanner, Cameron, Raylen, and Emma Courson, as well as his great-grandchildren Brooks and Atlas Courson.
A visitation of family and friends for John will be held Friday, April 18, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of life will occur Friday, April 18, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. An interment will occur Friday, April 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
