James R. Chambers, Jr., age 83, born January 20, 1939 of Atlanta, Georgia passed away August 31, 2022 at his home in Stockbridge, Georgia.
He started working at the age of 12 at a gas station to help provide for his mother and siblings. He served in the US Army and after that became a lifelong mechanic. Everyone who knew him loved him dearly. He loved fixing things, fishing and raising money for charities through antique car shows. He loved visiting his neighbors on his riding lawn mower daily. He was married 59 years to his predeceased wife, Senia L. Chambers. He had two children, Johnny Chambers and Terri Spell; four grandchildren, Johnna Chambers, Danielle Dukes, Matthew Chambers and Nathan Chambers and seven great-grandchildren, Jordan Turner, Madison Simpson, Jackson Chambers, Blakelee Chambers, Beckett Chambers, Amaia Chambers and Rylee Garrett.
