George was born October 30, 1949 to the late George H. Johnson, Sr. and Amy Lee Robinson. George was the oldest of five children. He spent his youth in Macon, Georgia but the lure of the big city called and George moved to Atlanta, Georgia as a young adult.
George was the proud owner of Dominion Collision Center where he spent many years keeping his customers happy.
George loved to fish, but his true passion was sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Many times he referred to himself as a “Fisherman of Souls.” George never knew a stranger and never hesitated to share his love for the Lord.
George leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Kim; daughter, Monica (Herman) Vaughn; son, Nicholas Johnson; grandsons, Dominick Johnson and Deandre Connell; great-granddaughter, Talia Connell; sisters, Patricia Johnson, Diane (Clarence) Mathews and Linda Parker; plus a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. George was predeceased by his brother, Emmanuel Johnson.
George will be missed by all who knew him.
