Albert Brown Sr.

He was the fourth of eleven children of Nancy and Winford Brown. He married Natalie Odelia Campbell in 1957 and together they raised Betty Ann and Laura Marie Campbell, Albert Jr., Arthur Jeffrey (AJ), Aaron, Andrew (Drew), Adrian, and Beverly.

After the passing of Natalie Brown, his wife of 61 years, he married Delores Gant (Momma Dee). With this union he gained the love and respect of two more sons, Wendell and Phillip Gant and their families. Albert Brown Sr., passed away in the presence of his dedicated son, Drew, with Momma Dee holding his hand.

His life was filled with a constant creative drive, a love and dedication to his family, and respect for the humanity of the people he met. He attended the Church of God and served that community in various capacities for seventy years. He was a mechanic, painter, postal worker, and carpenter. Carpentry was a gift he shared freely with his sons, friends, and anyone in need of instruction, repair, or addition to their home. His council was sought and provided with sensitivity, clarity, and calm. He would help anyone whenever he could, through words, a smile, and joyful attention that made you feel special. He loved gospel and classical music. He embodied integrity, faith, charity, and love.

Albert Brown Sr. is preceded in death by his wife Natalie Brown, sons, Arthur Jeffrey Brown, Wendell Gant, and daughter Laura McKoy. Left to cherish and live his memory are his children, Betty Ann Hibbert, Albert Brown Jr., Aaron Brown, Andrew Brown, Adrian Brown, and Beverly Norris; grandchildren, Troy McKoy, Tisha McKoy, Hopeton Hibbert, Kahlil Brown, Adam Brown, Jonathon Young, Thomas Young, Tiffani Brown, Kendall Brown, Taylor Brown, Tierra Ross, Brittany Cobbs, Courtney Radcliff, and twenty-three great grandchildren, a host of daughter and son in-laws, close friends, and family.

A visitation for Albert will be held Friday, October 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. An interment will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:30 PM at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
