Adam was known for his humongous smile and booming laugh. He took pride in developing relationships with others and never met a stranger. He was a faithful and devoted friend, son, and husband, and an honorary uncle to many. He is a graduate of Georgia College and State University with his BS in Political Science and MPA in Public Administration.
A dedicated public servant, Adam spent his career working in local government building community relations and mentoring youth. He began his career with ACCG, transitioned to Atlanta Regional Commission, and finally landed in the City of Suwanee as their Downtown Development Manager where he worked tirelessly to build relationships and improve economic growth and development. He is most known for his work with the City of Suwanee and developing the Suwanee Youth Leaders program mentoring high school students. The program has graduated over 300 high school seniors in the past 6 years.
A lifelong Atlanta sports fan, when he wasn’t working he could be found cheering on any Atlanta sports team, his beloved Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and leading the Atlanta Hawks 6th Man Fan Section. He also volunteered his time as a docent at the High Museum and in his local Kiwanis club. Adam also loved to travel and attended the Olympic games in London, Brazil, and South Korea with the Atlanta Pin Club. An avid history and preservation buff, he was committed to preserving the history of his hometown community of Cabbagetown, taught local government at the college level, and was a voracious reader. He loved a physical challenge and ran both the Philadelphia and Boston Marathons.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Georgia. Donations made in his name will directly benefit Fulton County clubs. A memorial scholarship in his name will also be set-up at Georgia College at a later date.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
