Lois Irene Finkhousen

Lois Irene Finkhousen, 92, of Fort Wayne passed away Monday, July 12, 2021 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She was born in Waynedale on Saturday, August 18, 1928, to the late Henry and Mildred Ruth (Dennis) Pflueger. Lois enjoyed gardening, camping, watching The Chicago Cubs, flowers and singing. She was an accomplished violinist. She had a chance to play with the philharmonic, but turned it down in favor of being a full time mother. Lois is survived by her two children, Robert Lee Finkhousen and Barbara Lynn Rumpel; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; a great great-grandchild; and sister, June Baumert. Also proceeding her in death are her husband, Lee “Max” Finkhousen; son, Bruce Allen Finkhousen; and brothers, Arthur Pflueger and Eugene Pflueger. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2PM-5PM on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809.
