Mattie Lee Boggs Snow

Born January 30, 1926 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Lee A. Boggs and Hattie Dixon Boggs. She attended schools in the Central community area and was one of the oldest remaining members of the Central Alumni. She was a retired seamstress at Beauty Maid Mills. She belonged to the ECA Club and the Garden Club and was a member of Olin United Methodist Church. She loved to garden and entered many items in the Iredell County Fair and brought home many ribbons.

She was married to the former James (Dick) Snow, who preceded her in death as well as her parents, a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memories are two stepdaughters, Marie Snow of Olin, NC and Jennie S. Glen (David) of Auburndale, FL; one step-son, James (Dickie) M. Snow, Jr. (Kendra) of Tifton, GA; six grandchildren,; four great-grandchildren; one niece; three great nieces; three great-nephews; four great-great nephews; two great-great nieces; a host of cousins and many cherished friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The family will also receive friends from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Friday, November 25, 2016 at Olin United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary will burial in the church cemetery.

The family will be available at other times at the home of her stepdaughter, Marie at 1027 Tabor Road Olin, NC.
