Born in Iredell County on March 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Walter Ross and Mary Margaret Miller Ross.
Miss Ross was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church, where she was very involved for years. She loved to work outdoors and was a wonderful caretaker for her parents.
Lois was employed with J.C. Penny Distribution Center in Statesville for 37 years, working in the administrative offices.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Elva Helen Blackwelder, Mary Miller Ross, Edna Evelyn Durden, Margaret Chandler Bebber, Anna Elizabeth Harrington and Billie Frances Campbell.; and two brothers, Clifton Henderson Ross and Walter Marshall Ross.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother and sister-in-law, James and Sue Ross of North Charleston, SC; one sister, Louise Ross Reves of Statesville and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Lois’ life will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Western Avenue Baptist Church. The family will speak to friends following the service.
Miss Ross was buried during a private service at Oakwood Cemetery.
