James P. Bell Jr.

Mr. James Paul Bell, Jr. 61, of 3096 Hickory Hwy. Statesville, died Thursday November 18th at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Iredell County on September 10, 1949, he was a son of the late James Paul Bell, Sr. and Ruby Cheek Bell who survives and is of Statesville. Mr. Bell served in the U. S. Army and was owner/operator of Bell's Upholstery. On April 5, 1979, he married Glenda Faye Galliher who preceded him in death on October 11, 2010.

Survivors include sons: James P. Bell, III and Scottie F. Greer and daughters, Dawyn Elizabeth Williams and her husband, Darrell, Tracy Cornwell and her husband, Joel and Angie Wishon and her husband, Mark all of Statesville. Also surviving are brothers, Johnnie and Jeff Bell and a sister, Patsy Lewis and her husband, Junior all of Statesville along with 11 grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mr. Bell's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Williams officiating. The family will then gather following the service at Mr. Bell's home where friends are invited. Memorials may be given to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, Inc. 2347 Simonton Rd.
