Born October 8, 1999 in Iredell County, he was the son of Gregory and Angela Garris Newhouse and brother to Tyler Weldon. He was a 2017 graduate from North Iredell High School. Austin was part of the Outback Family in Statesville. He was very bright and passionate for science, history and astronomy. He was an avid gamer who always accepted the challenge and rarely a defeat. Austin recently developed a love for music and taught himself how to play the piano and guitar. He was kind hearted; a smile that could light up the room, class clown that always made you laugh and had a laugh that was unforgettable.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, "Pappy", Bruce Eubanks.
Left to cherish his loving memory are his parents, Gregory and Angela; sister, Tyler Marie; grandmothers, "MaMaw" Brenda Eubanks (Barry Hatfield) and "Nanny" Shirley W. Hager and grandfather, Flemming Hager; uncles, Lonnie Hager, Robert Garris, Earl Newhouse and Mike Newhouse; aunts, Crystal G. Taylor, Kim Campbell, Patricia Coyle and Wendy Mason; furbaby, Gemma, Loki and Loki; best friends, Dylan Trueman, Lukas Phillips, Lari White and many cousins and friends that will truly miss him.
A celebration of Austin's Life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2pm in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Steve Pope. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, May 4, 2018 from 6-8pm at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
Austin will be forever loved and missed by everyone.
