Patricia Ann Henley

Patricia Carroll Henley, age 79, passed peacefully into rest on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility after a brave battle with cancer, surrounded by her family and friends.

Patricia was born in Covington County, Alabama to James Presley Carroll and Bonnie Thomasson Carroll. Patricia married the love of her life, O.J. Henley in 1953, and moved to Augusta, Georgia before settling in Statesboro in 1972.

Patricia dedicated her life to her family as a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, cooking, scrapbooking and especially loved traveling with her best friends, Brenda Adams NeSmith and Janice Slater, as well as her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Henley.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Gerald Carroll.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Jeff Henley (Carolyn) of Statesboro, Georgia; Jim Henley (Amanda) of Register, Georgia; and Jody Henley (Taftnee) of Statesboro, Georgia. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jacob Henley (Mary), Jenna Henley and Gavin Henley; step-grandchildren, Stacey Aldrich (Greg), Jeffery Carroll (Allison) and Samuel Thompson, U.S. Navy; and step-great grandchildren, Cannon Aldrich and Cameron Aldrich.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016 in Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 1:00 PM Sunday, December 11, 2016 in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Andy Brantley, Paul Mullis, Rick DaSilva, Chris Winkler, Philip Roesel and Paul Roesel.
