Mr. Billy Kinard, Jr. age 80, died Sunday, January 01, 2012 at Eagle Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Hospice Advantage. He was a native and longtime resident of Bulloch County and was a farmer and share cropper for many years. Mr. Kinard retired from ITT Grinnell and had worked for the last twelve years as a Recycle Attendant at the Portal Recycling Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Owen Perry Kinard and Ruby Elizabeth Kinard; and two brothers, Berman Kicklighter and Daniel Morgan Howard.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Burke Kinard of Portal; three daughters, Linda (Dannie) Cartee of Statesboro, Joyce White of Statesboro, Ellen Bunch of Portal; one son, Cleve (Lori) Kinard of Statesboro; four sisters, Ola Mae Howard of Pinewood, SC, Juanita Kinard (Gerrald) Skinner of Statesboro, Norma Howard (Daniel) Cannady of Brooklet, and Betty Emanuel (Thomas) White of Pembroke; one brother, Owen Perry (Kathy) Kinard, Jr. of Wyoming; his mother-in-law, Walton Burke of Millen; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be Romaine Cartee, J.D. White, Royce Cartee, Mark Anderson, Drew Bunch, and Rusty Cartee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bryce Kinard and Percell Hendrix.
Burial will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
