Vincent Little

Vincent Little, a man whose journey began in Galway, Ireland, and took him to the shores of the United States, sadly passed away on Friday, October 13. Vincent was born in the picturesque landscapes of Galway, Ireland, and it was there that he embarked on a life that would leave a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In his early 20s, Vincent made the courageous decision to immigrate to the United States, where he eventually became a naturalized US citizen. His commitment to his new homeland was further evidenced by his two-year service in the army, with a post in Vietnam, where he demonstrated his unwavering dedication to the principles he held dear.

Upon his return, Vincent carved out a successful career working with ConEdison as an engineer, showcasing his exceptional intellect and dedication to his profession. However, it was not just his professional accomplishments that defined him; it was his warm and compassionate heart that endeared him to everyone he met.

Vincent was known to be a true friend, always looking out for his neighbors and friends in Staten Island. His intelligence, wit, and charm made him a delightful presence in his local coffee shop, where he shared laughter and stories with all who crossed his path. His beloved dogs, Jack and Russell, were a constant source of joy in his life, and their presence illuminated his days.

Vincent had a passion for country music and found solace in feeding the birds and squirrels around his home, nurturing the beauty of nature. His love for Ireland never waned, and in recent years, he had the opportunity to reconnect with his extended family there, strengthening the ties to his roots.

In accordance with Vincent's wishes, his ashes will be transported to Ireland, where they will rest alongside his father's grave in Toorena, Connemara, Co. Galway. A private family service in Ireland will be held at a later date to honor the life of a man who touched the hearts of many with his kindness, wisdom, and enduring friendship.

Vincent Little leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a deep connection to both the United States and his cherished homeland of Ireland. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
