Nanny was part of the Greatest Generation, with a life shaped by the Depression and patriotism, as she worked at Fairchild Camera in the war effort. Thereafter, she worked as a supervisor at Western Electric for 33 years. Later, until her mid 80's, she volunteered at Staten Island Hospital. She ran the gift shop and was its best customer.
A loving mother and homemaker, Nanny was an incredible cook and enjoyed preparing meals and baking. She loved to share recipes and avidly watched cooking channels. A devoted Catholic, she was deeply religious.
Ginny lovingly cared for her in her last years and, as always, was at her side as she went to heaven, our family extends warmest gratitude to the staff of Golden Gate Nursing Home of Staten Island for their compassionate care for their "Granny".
We give thanks for a life well-lived, for her endless love, and for a lifetime of warm and cherished memories.
