It is with so many heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Stephen Santoro, beloved husband, doting and dedicated father, cherished son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, son-in-law, and brother-in-law. He was born in Staten Island, NY on March 29, 1982 to his parents Stephen and Christine Santoro and he left this world on December 12, 2024. Stephen grew up loving animals, cars, music, the New York Rangers, and most of all his family and friends. Stephen worked his way up in the NYC Department of Education and was a proud member of Local 891. He was a man that loved his family, friends, and his country.
Stephen and Sydney Santoro were bonded in marriage, but also through their passionate love of animals. They welcomed their two beautiful children, Nicholas and Ava with open arms. Most of Stephen’s time was spent with his family, participating in activities and sports with his children, family parties, or relaxing with his wife in their beautiful family home in Manahawkin, NJ. He enjoyed all of the vacations spent with his family and was an avid lover of Disney. It cannot be put into words how much Stephen adored his children Nicholas and Ava, and his wife Sydney. He was a true family man, who will be missed beyond measure. They will cherish the memories made with him forever.
In addition to his wife, Sydney, children Nicholas and Ava, and parents Stephen and Christine Santoro, Stephen is also survived by his grandmother, Lois Ann Smith, his sister Kimberly LaPera and her husband Thomas LaPera, his niece Julia LaPera, and his nephew Matthew LaPera.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Stephen’s memorial fund, which will be used to help support his family. Please inquire with the family for details on how to donate, or visit spotfund.com and search for Stephen Santoro.
