Louis Ferrari, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, left us on September 27, 2024. Born on March 9, 1941, residing in Great Kills, Staten Island, Louis lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy Ferrari, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and LeeAnne, as well as his three granddaughters, Jacqueline, Jennifer, and Nicole whose lives were greatly impacted by Louis’s presence. His departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.
Louis is remembered for being a devoted husband and Air Force Reserve Veteran. He was a car enthusiast and longtime member of the Richmond County Corvette Club. With his family, he enjoyed vacationing each year to Virginia Beach and fishing on the back bay. Throughout his life, he held a passion for golf which he shared with his friends and family. Above all, his greatest joy was getting to experience each of his granddaughters' interests and successes.
His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is heavily felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply. The family appreciates your support during this difficult time and asks that you make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers to contribute to a cause that Louis cared about near and dearly.
A visitation for Louis will be held Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Casey-McCallum Rice Funeral Home, 30 Nelson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10308. A religious ceremony will occur Monday, September 30, 2024 from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Clare Roman Catholic Church, St. Clare's Church, New York, NY 10308.
