Mr. Milione was born in Vittoria, Italy. He moved to Brooklyn in 1954 and settled in Todt Hill in 1970.
From 1951 to 1954, he served in the Signal Corps of the Italian Army. He was a communications specialist and rose to the rank of sergeant.
At RCA in Manhattan, Mr. Milione was a Teletype, TELEX and Morse Code radio operator. He retired in 1987 after 32 years.
In his leisure time, Mr. Milione gardened, growing flowers and vegetables.
"As a family man, he cared deeply about education, honor and morality," said his family, "and had a passion for political history. He loved following current events."
Mr. Milione is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Angela Guastella; a son, Salvatore John; a daughter, Susanna Rosalia Castellano; a sister, Angelina Milione; a grandson, and a step-grandson.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Casey Funeral Home, Castleton Corners, with a mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Teresa's R.C. Church, Castleton Corners. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
