Aunt Jeannie always attract people. Lin's relatives in Taiwan will always make an effort to visit uncle James 玉文舅 and aunt Jeannie舅媽 when they came to the US。And I am always thrilled when those city folks in NYC or New Jersey came to our country-site place in Connecticut.  

Aunt Jeannie tied the Lin's families together, overseas and in the US. She has so many stories to tell from her life, in hardship and in happiness, she stands all with dignity and endurance. She has our utmost respect. She could now join her beloved husband, and her precious granddaughter Marie in heaven.

We will always remember family time with Aunt Jeannie. Her smile, her kindness when we spent Christmas holidays in NY are part of happiness moments children can never forget. RIP. All my toughts to our cousins and family.

Dear Jeannie, my sister-in-law,
Remember that on the day before January 1st. 2022, we phoned you from France and we talked for more than 15 minutes, addressing mutually our wishes for a better year to come. I never have in mind that I am going to loss you 17 days later. Getting this sad news that you leave us to a new environment just shocked me; it was so sudden, just like an earthquake! 
Remember the 1st. time James’ sister Mei-Chiao & I visited you and James at your home in Taipei, it was in January 1967; we asked you and James to assist us to convince James’ parents to consent to our marriage. Thanks to our God’s mercy, you agree to help us, and finally the wedding happened at the end of 1967. The photo I add in this memory, witnesses that your & James’ contributions are graved in our family’s memories. Both you have given the chance for us to establish our family-branch  now enlarged to 2 daughters, 1 son Chamond and  7 grand-children. 
We have no doubt that St. Peter already open the door of Heaven for you because during your whole life on Earth, you are caring about so many people! Only your tender smiling is enough to comfort suffering people. You are ever so kind and gentle to your brothers sisters and relatives. When moved to New-York, you are so helpful to your husband James, working hard to support your family, in particular when James was in heavy illness, you are so brave and generous to donated one of your kidney to him, action which gave him ten more years to live.  
Thank you also to care so much about my family. You flew from New-York to France to attend to Chia-Lin’s Wedding in 1993. When Mei-Chiao passed away in 1996, you are present to her funeral ceremony, etc. … We also visited you several times in New-York. So many several travels we did together, visiting France, Japan and Taiwan, etc. …  So many memories of you Jeannie!

I lived with Uncle James and Aunt Jeannie for almost 2 years when I was in high school.  I have many fond memories of them (and my little cousins Lena, John, Peter, Judy, my "little uncle" Xin-Guang" and the "pharmacy boy" whose name I don't remember).  Aunt Jeannie was always making sure I ate enough because I "needed" the nutrition to grow.  The regular appearance of a fried pork chop in my lunch box was the source of envy for many of my dining companions. Aunt Jeannie was not only pretty and fashionable, but also very kind and generous to us in the extended family.  She will be sorely missed.  Rest In peace, Aunt Jeannie.  -Amy (惠美)

I will always remember aunt Jeannie's smile and her story-telling. She was also the one who introduced me the 小美冰淇淋 when we all lived in Taipei, Taiwan. She always treated us kids with the then considered a luxury dessert of ice cream when we visited her house. I will miss her dearly.


Jeannie is such a caring person with warm personality traits, not only as a mother to her children  but also as an elder sister to young  relatives, whose care we all experienced during the period of staying together.
