Jacqueline Ryan

Beloved mother, grandmother & sister Jacqueline Rose Ryan, a Staten Island native, died on Dec.14, 2021 at the age of 75. Jacqueline (Jackie) was born and raised in New Brighton and eventually settled in Castleton Corners, where she lived for the last forty years. She is a graduate of St. John's Villa Academy and worked for many years at Richmond University Medical Center (the former St. Vincent's Hospital) in several different positions. Jackie loved spending time with her family and took pride in cooking their favorite dishes. She enjoyed shopping and buying thoughtful gifts for her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Jackie also enjoyed reading and traveling. A highlight was visiting the farm where her grandfather was born in Ireland. Jackie is predeceased by her husband, Thomas A. Ryan, Jr., her parents, Rita & Joseph Byrne and her brothers, Joseph Byrne, Jr. and Michael Byrne. She is survived by her sister, Rita Lindsey, three daughters Kelly Unger (Richard), Erin Ryan Genovese (David), & Shannon Campbell (Robert) and four grandchildren (Ryan, Catherine, Andrew & Mallory). Jackie had a particular love of children and enjoyed supporting children's charities. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are suggested. Visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home, 571 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY, on Tuesday, December 28 from 4pm-8pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Wednesday, December 29th at the Church of the Holy Family, with burial following at St. Peter's Cemetery.
