Diana E. Nakeeb

Diana Eleanor Gosselin Nakeeb, 77, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Staten Island University Hospital after a very brief illness. Born in1944 in Brooklyn, New York, Diana was a long-time resident of Staten Island. An avid student of languages, graduating with honors from Hunter College and earning a PhD from Columbia University’s Russian Institute, Diana taught Russian at Yeshiva University and Pace University for many years, as well as French and French Cinema. Creative writing was also one of her passions.

She is survived by her son, Abe, grandson, Alex, as well as her brother Steven Gosselin, sister Carole Herman, and extended family. They, along with her many friends and colleagues, will miss her ready wit and kind blue eyes.

for we trust in his holy name.
