1933 – 2024
Bobby Lois Bulger passed away peacefully in her home in Boyd, Texas on Monday, December 9, 2024. She was lovingly cared for and surrounded by her family. She was 91 years old.
If Bobby’s life could be defined with one word it would be Family. She and her husband, Jim had ten children, 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Deeply involved in their day to day lives, she was able to rattle off birth dates for all of them without skipping a beat! She was in constant communication with her children and grandchildren by phone and in person.
Bobby served the Church of Saint Clare as Parish Manager for almost 40 years. In addition, she volunteered countless hours in various school and nonprofit organizations throughout her life.
She was born in El Paso, TX. She moved to New York and settled on Staten Island in 1960. She lived in Great Kills for over twenty-five years and in Somerset, NJ for over thirty years while still working at St Clare in Great Kills until her retirement. In 2019, she moved to the family ranch in Boyd, TX, where she lived the rest of her life.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jim, who died in 1985 and her granddaughter, Kristi, who died in 1996 and her parents, Robert and Lois and sisters, Dede, Cookie and Jerry. She is survived by her eight daughters: Pam Graham (Ted), Diana Cronin (Jim), Valerie Winslow (Ken), Lisa Bulger, Judy Alaia (Chris), Mary Bright, Stephanie Anitore (Ed), Loretta Kelly (Pat); two sons, Rich Bulger and Jim Bulger (Karin). She is survived by 24 grandchildren: Daniel (Tiffany), Jason (Julie), Jennifer (Jared), Joshua, Jason (Lin), James (Hannah), Brittany, Calais, Michael, Brianna (JJ), Sean, James (Diana), Veronica (Jagger), George (Alexa), Christian (Valentina), Samantha (Marc), Conor (Brittany), Kerry, Edward (Dani), Mark, Anthony (Jenna), Patrick (Courtney) and Timothy (Raven). And she is survived by 23 great grandchildren: Morgan, Kaitlyn, Daniel, Casey, Kellen, Chloe, Mya, Sage, Tovah, Myron, Elinore, Lucille, Louise, Finn, Brodey, Raif, Brent, Deklin, Tiernan, Donaghan, Delaney, James and Marc.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tunnel2Towers Foundation – T2T.org. It was established by Staten Island families after 911. Many of those lost on 911 were parishioners of St Clare Church and Bobby played a significant part in assisting the grieving families.
