Born Anne Reynolds in Brooklyn, she graduated from All Saints Commercial High School in 1948.
In 1953, she married her husband, Thomas. She moved to Great Kills in 1962 and lived there until relocating to Eltingville in 1974.
A homemaker, Mrs. Donachie was part of the St. Clare's School Mother's Club while her children attended the school. She had also attended the Alzheimer's Support Group after her husband was diagnosed with the disease.
She enjoyed reading fiction novels as well as knitting; family members often received knitted slippers for Christmas.
Mrs. Donachie was a parishioner of St. Clare's R.C. Church in Great Kills.
Her husband of 47 years, Thomas, died in 2000. She is also predeceased by her brother, John, and two sisters, Margaret Tedeschi and Mary Cabot.
She is survived by three sons, Matthew, Kevin and Joseph; three daughters, Kathleen Andrillo, Patricia Coraci and Jean Donachie; a sister, Frances McGarry, and 10 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday from the Casey-McCallum-Rice Funeral Home, Great Kills, with a mass at 9:45 a.m. in St. Clare's Church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Pleasant Plains.
